Following jury selection, Matt Kluger was able to obtain a plea offer from the prosecutor of 2 to 7 years in prison which EC accepted thus avoiding the risk that he could spend the rest of his life in jail.
RA was arrested in California in 2007 and extradited to New York to stand trial for allegedly participating in a 1988 Bronx homicide. After a hearing, Matt Kluger successfully argued that RA's due process rights to a prompt prosecution were violated and that accordingly, all charges must be dismissed.
YB, a NYC "head-shop" owner was charged under the federal Controlled Substance Analogue Act with distributing designer drugs commonly known as "bath-salts."
